A surge in online shopping in the aftermath of Covid-19
There has been a massive change in consumer behavior as the Corona virus hits Pakistan.
Pakistanis have resorted to online shopping after the government imposed severe lock-down, restricted traffic, closed schools, colleges, universities and urged people to stay at home as much as possible. Street level shops are facing a severe decline in sales due to their minimal capacity to provide online services.
Brands are continually sending reminders to their customers in strictly following the sanitizing procedures. Buyers may turn to online shopping as they can’t go to brick-and-mortar stores.
It’s difficult to predict the impact of Corona virus on online sales, because it will depend on the customer behavior, the time period of social distancing and so on. The dynamics of our society will change as the crisis lingers on.
